Look closer and help – Silhouette is an official partner of TRIBUTE TO BAMBI 2011
15. September 2011|Blog, International
With the slogan “Look closer and help”, Silhouette is again this year working together with eye care professionals throughout Germany for the TRIBUTE TO BAMBI – help for children in need. The donations collected this year will help three organisations: “Findelbaby” (charity for abandoned infants), “Kangaroo” from the “Interessengemeinschaft für Behinderte e.V.” which represents the interests of people with disabilities, and “Ich will da rauf! e.V.”, a climbing group for children with and without disabilities.
Nation-wide picture competition
“Children painting for children” is the current motto for all partners as well as on the Internet. Participation is open to children of every age who can put their ideas to paper. Silhouette will donate 3 euro for every picture. Therefore, the more children who participate, the more children in need can be helped.
Adults can also “look closer and help” by purchasing charity eyewear or the specially designed cleaning cloth. The cleaning cloth is also very enticing this year because it shows an enchantingly colourful world that encourages the observer to take a closer look. The net proceeds of 3 euro per cloth will be donated.
Stars and Glamour at the TRIBUTE TO BAMBI
A large proportion of the donations are generated by the TRIBUTE TO BAMBI charity at the glamorous charity event, TRIBUTE TO BAMBI, held in Berlin at the end of September. This has become the most important charity event in Germany. Around 800 high-level guests from the business, culture and entertainment fields accept the yearly invitation to get together and donate for children in need in Germany.
Numerous stars such as Nazan Eckes, David Garrett, Anastasia Zampounidis, Tanja Wenzel, Monrose, Mareille Höppner, Verena Wriedt, Jeanette Biedermann, Wolke Hegenbarth and Arthur Abraham were delighted by the Silhouette eyewear cloth and the Titan Minimal Art Collection in 2010. And in October you can read here how well the stars liked the cloth and our activities this year.
