Alexandra Maxa, winner of the NY trip

Alexandra Maxa from Vienna, Austria, the lucky winner of Silhouette’s Grand Prize trip for two to New York City, just returned from her first trip abroad and has shared details of her fantastic Big Apple getaway. Alexandra and her 16 year old son Marvin, spent four exciting days seeing the famous sights in an unforgettable all expense paid trip this past February.

Their favorite memories were of watching the New York sunrise from the “Top of the Rock”, Rockefeller Center; the exciting sights and sounds of Chinatown during Chinese New Year celebrations; the world-famous Times Square; and the fabulous Broadway musical “Mamma Mia!”

Mrs. Maxa and her son agreed on most of their sightseeing destinations, although sometimes they had to compromise. “Marvin wanted to go to the Hard Rock Cafe, whereas I preferred the Museum of Modern Art. So, we decided they both must be on the agenda.”

What they will remember most are the buildings and architecture, as well as the breathtaking skyline. The trip was a fun and overwhelming journey. “Because of the many sights and great places to visit, and because we wanted to see and do everything that is New York, the pace was exhilarating and tiring at the same time! I’m sure that anyone who has been to New York, the city that never sleeps, can agree!”

When thinking back on the trip, Alexandra and her son will have a lifetime of memories and both agree that trip was truly unforgettable!
