Fashion Without Boundaries: Fashion’s Night Out 2010
On September 10, 2010 – the second day of New York’s Spring/Summer 2011 Fashion Week – fashion designers, celebrities, models and editors converged to enjoy exciting, one-of-a-kind in-store events, open after-hours to the public. Amidst a sophisticated street party atmosphere, customers shopped, danced to music spun by celebrity DJs and attended autograph (and even shoe) signings with their favorite fashion idols.
Over at Fashion Central, in Grand Central Terminal, celebrity fashion stylist and television personality Nolé Marin joined us at an interactive Silhouette aesthetics pavilion where we offered free mini eyewear makeovers and professional aesthetic consultations. A former Elle magazine fashion editor, Nolé also appeared as a judge on cycles 3 and 4 of “America’s Next Top Model.”
Celebrity makeup artist Elke Von Freudenberg, whose brow work has been seen on Hollywood red carpets as well as in Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and People magazines, also spent the days leading up to and Fashion’s Night Out with us. Along with her assistant, Elke performed complimentary eyebrow touch-ups to help us show pavilion visitors how selecting eyewear that complements their eye zone can accentuate their natural beauty and create a harmonious look that makes their face radiate.
All in all, we had an amazing time helping people put their best face and style forward in celebration of Fashion’s Night Out and are already eager for next year’s events.
