19. October 2011|Blog, International
On the occasion of this year’s optical fair SILMO in Paris Silhouette organised the first lunch symposium dedicated to the topic „The perception of faces with eyewear“.
The symposium was attended by ECPs as well as trade editors, who were impressed by the results of the study about the perception of faces with and without glasses, conducted by the University of Vienna.
Prof. Helmut Leder, one of the most renowned experts in the field of face and aesthetics research in the psychology of perception, introduced and explained the results of the study that will be published in the Swiss Journal of Psychology very soon.
Leder also discussed the various aspects of beauty with world renowned make up artist Mary Greenwell, who underlined his results from a practical standpoint. Both of them agreed that rimless glasses make faces less distinctive from faces without eyewear, which often means more attractive. Next event: Zürich, November 15, 2011
